Business Networking International (BNI): Our Owner Vicki Ogden-O’Fee is a member of the BNI Inspire chapter and welcomes members from all BNI networks. BNI has led to great relations with people and businesses that we otherwise wouldn’t know. This has provided us with many opportunities over the last few years and we can’t wait for more to come in the future.
NZ Hair and Beauty Industry Training Organisation (HITO): V for Hair and Beauty and Vj Barbers are members of HITO and we are open to having new apprentices join us to learn the skills of Hairdressing, Beauty therapy and Barbering. Our owner, Vicki Ogden O’fee has mentored over 50 apprentices over her time in the industry.
NZ Association of Registered Hairdressers (NZRAH): V for Hair and Beauty and Vj Barbers staff are official members of New Zealand’s registered association of hairdressers. Our team members are qualified and passionate about what they do, and love meeting new clients. We can ensure that our work is only that of premium service, and you’ll have left the salon with only quality products.
Charities we work with
Shocking Pink is “on a mission to support young women through their journey with breast cancer, and out the other side.” In order to treat these young women who are going through such tough times, Shocking Pink gives women wanting Hair and Beauty services for free vouchers for our salon to redeem.
Sweet Louise provides practical, emotional and social support and services for New Zealanders living with incurable breast cancer. Membership is free and open to all women and men in New Zealand who have received a diagnosis of advanced breast cancer. Sweet Louise makes a difference every day to over 730 members and their families right across New Zealand. We support Sweet Lousie by offering our services to members wanting hair and beauty services done.
At V For Hair and Beauty, we also support Canteen Aotearoa. We have had the pleasure in the past few years to help out at Canteen head shaving events, a major one being St Bede’s College fundraiser for the charity. Canteen helps people aged 13-24 who are dealing with cancer themselves, a parent of a sibling with cancer, or the death of a parent or sibling. They offer free support services to these youth at such a hard time in their lives, which aligns perfectly with our value as a business. We absolutely love being involved with this amazing cause and look forward to helping out more in the future.
Marian College Rowing
In the past few years we have been a proud support of Marian College rowing, providing vouchers and gifts for fundraisers for the schools rowing team. We are passionate about supporting hard working young people, and helping these people be able to travel for competition in the future. We are open to supporting more young sports teams in the coming years.
